In today’s world, it is not enough for artists to master their craft; they must also be adept at promotion, collaboration, and leadership. I have dedicated my life to the path of becoming a consummate pianist; one milestone has been my solo performance at Carnegie Hall. At the same time, I have fostered my growth as a “complete package” of entrepreneurial and artistic ability through many and varied professional endeavors. To fulfill my creative goals and reach broader audiences, I frequently collaborate with individuals and organizations working in media other than music. As a result, I was featured in a documentary film titled 147 Pianos which was premiered in Chicago, Tucson and Ulaanbaatar . I often conceive and design projects with a strong visual component. While I was living in South Florida, I saw the possibility to take advantage of the beautiful natural setting to do a music video project on the beach. I have become self-sufficient through my experience in both performing and organizing concerts for music festivals. My experience has included more structured business environments while I worked for the Steinway and Sons and running my piano teaching studio. As a Mongolian-American pianist, I received several prizes from international competitions and was featured with Lynn and Mongolian Philharmonic Orchestras. Right now, I am working on bringing the beauty of Mongolian culture to an international audience as part of my doctoral dissertation and lecture recital.
With 15 years of piano teaching experience
I pay careful attention to the student’s unique qualities.
- My studio motivates students toward tangible improvements where students feel “self rewarded” by their accomplishments.
- My approach is the student-centered where I identify the needs of the student and serve as a resource person.
- My role is to cover certain concepts and important materials that need to be taught to provide systematic knowledge. I seek to develop critical thinkers and help them become independent musicians.
Performances
Piano playing is performance art. We learn the most by performing. It’s recommended to participate the Studio Recitals. The students can do their own Solo Recital with the repertoires they enjoy. I help my students find venues to perform. Working towards recitals make us better musicians. It’s a great way to assess your skills and progress.
